The Fall Migration

September 28th, 2021

This is the time of year when many charitable golf events are held in our area.  Is it the change in weather (no longer blazing hot) or something deeper tied to the season? I suspect it’s a little of both.

As a member of the Southern New England business community, SAGE staffers gladly follow the fall migration to the greenswards that host these many charitable events. These golf outings are not only vehicles for doing good but also a chance to catch up with old friends, clients and those friends we have yet to meet. This season there are more golf gigs than last year likely as a result of our success here in New England at putting a damper on the ‘rona virus. As of this day of the Autumnal Equinox (I’m writing this on September 22nd), approximately 80% of eligible New Englanders have been vaxed…for themselves and for one another…getting us closer to the 90% that epidemiologists believe is necessary to halt the virus from freely using us humans as petri dishes to evolve its DNA.

I’d like to take the time to express my gratitude to you my friends (including my SAGE teammates😊), and I hope that you and yours are well and that you have a safe and happy fall season.

Oh, and my golf game?  Let’s just say I’m a better hockey player.

Yours truly, SAGE VP Jake Butterworth, and environmental attorney Mike Donegan

We'd love to hear from you
